Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir has said there is no bigger agenda, movement, or personality other than the country’s security. Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir while addressing the Parliamentary Committee on National Security said that there is no agenda bigger than the security of the country, no movement, no personality, and all elements of national power have to work in harmony for sustainable stability.
The Army Chief said that this is a battle for the survival of us and our future generations, we need better governance and make the state of Pakistan a hard state, how long will we continue to sacrifice countless lives on the pattern of a soft state? Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir said that for how long will we continue to fill the gaps of governance with the blood of the army of Pakistan and martyrs? If this is the country, then we are, so there is nothing for us more than the security of the country.
The Army Chief said that for the protection of Pakistan, one has to adopt a narrative beyond its political and personal interests. Those who think that they can weaken Pakistan through these terrorists, this day gives them the message that we will fail not only them but also all their facilitators by uniting.
It should be noted that the national leadership sat in the closed-door meeting of the National Security Parliamentary Committee against the growing terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, but the PTI and its allies did not attend the meeting. Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir and Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif also attended the meeting. Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir briefed the National Security Committee (NSC) for 50 minutes on the situation in the country.
Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, and Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti also attended the meeting.
