Third week of Ramazan ends, 11 items including LPG, meat, bread become more expensive

At the end of the third week of Ramadan, 11 items, including LPG, meat, and bread, became more expensive, prices of 11 essential commodities increased in a week, prices of 18 items decreased and prices of 22 remained stable. According to the details, after two weeks of continuous increase in the country, the rate of increase in inflation has decreased by 0.35 percent in the recent week, while the rate of increase in inflation in the country has been recorded at minus 1.20 percent on an annual basis.
The Federal Bureau of Statistics has released inflation figures on a weekly basis, according to which the prices of 11 essential commodities increased in a week, the prices of 18 items decreased while the prices of 22 items remained stable. According to the data, the price of printed lawns has increased by 2.90 percent, LPG prices by 1.53 percent, long cloth prices by 1.23 percent, bread prices by 0.55 percent, cigarettes by 0.27 percent, beef by 0.25 percent, yogurt by 0.24 percent and salt prices by 0.03 percent. Besides, potato prices fell by 2.05 percent, onion by 6.07 percent, tomatoes by 7.08 percent, garlic by 5.59 percent, Eggs by 6.64 percent, dal chana by 1.60 percent, tea leaf by 1.30 percent, sugar by 0.87 percent and firewood by 0.60 percent.
During the recent week, the rate of increase in inflation decreased by 0.0.39 percent to minus 1.84 percent for the class earning up to Rs 17,732 per month on an annual basis in terms of sensitive price index, while the rate of increase in inflation for the class earning from Rs 17,733 to Rs 22,888 per month decreased by 0.35 percent to minus 2 percent.S imilarly, for that earning between Rs 22,889 and Rs 29,517 per month, the rate of increase in inflation decreased by 0.39 percent to minus 1.70 percent, while for that earning from Rs 29,518 to Rs 44,175 per month, the rate of increase in inflation decreased by 0.40 percent to minus 1.12 percent. Similarly, for the class earning above Rs 44,176 per month, the rate of increase in inflation decreased by 0.36 percent to minus 0.49 percent.
