In order to host the exhibition match, the provincial government directed to complete the renovation work of Imran Khan Cricket Peshawar soon. Javed Afridi, the owner of Peshawar Zalmi, said that Quetta Gladiators and Zalmi fans were invited to Arbab Niaz Stadium. This exhibition match is part of the PCB’s strategy to boost the enthusiasm of the fans ahead of the 10th season of the Pakistan Super League.
This is not the first time that the PCB has organized an exhibition match before the PSL. In 2023, an exhibition match was also held in Quetta, which attracted the attention and excitement of cricket fans. The success of this match has likely influenced the decision to bring cricket back to Peshawar and further strengthened the PCB’s commitment to promote the sport across Pakistan. As history approaches, expectations are rising among supporters of their respective teams wanting to see their favorite players in action. This exhibition match serves as an offering for PSL10, which is scheduled to take place from April 11 to May 18, 2025. In the 10th edition of PSL, matches will be held in four venues Rawalpindi, Karachi, Multan, and Lahore. The tournament will conclude with the final in Lahore on May 18.
