On the occasion of World Forest Day, an important meeting on tree plantation campaigns and environmental protection was held at Thal University Bhakkar. On March 21, 2025, an important meeting was held at the Faculty Office of Biological Sciences on the occasion of World Forest Day organized by the Greenthal and Environment Protection Society. The meeting was presided over by Advisor Dr. Muhammad Kabir while Respected Faculty Member Madam Rabia Shaheen Niazi was also present on the occasion. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Saeed Ahmed Buzdar guided the meeting in accordance with his vision and emphasized including the tree plantation campaign in the priority goals of the university. The meeting began with a detailed briefing on the progress of the previous assigned task “Fencing of Plants”.Dr. Muhammad Kabir apprised the members of the latest status of the project and highlighted the challenges being faced in the process.

After this a detailed discussion was held regarding the upcoming tree plantation campaign. Dr. Muhammad Kabir briefed the members about the types of trees, their environmental benefits, and effective planting methods. In line with the vision of Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Saeed Ahmed Buzdar, the tree plantation drive will be promoted as a common objective among the university’s students, faculty, and the local community.”Afforestation not only improves the environment but also guarantees a healthy and sustainable future for future generations,” he stressed. The subject of “Kalamkari” was also discussed in detail during the meeting. Dr. Muhammad Kabir not only highlighted this in detail but also demonstrated it to the members in practice. At the end of the meeting, all the members reiterated their commitment that they would make the tree plantation campaign a success and take effective steps to protect the environment.
