More important revelations during investigation of suicide bomber arrested from Lahore

The CTD spokesman said that on the basis of a tip-off, the CTD had carried out an operation near Barki Road to arrest the terrorists. After a fierce exchange of fire with the terrorists, a suicide terrorist was arrested while his injured accomplice managed to escape.
The CTD spokesman also said that the arrested suicide bomber has been identified as Hafiz Shams, a resident of Balochistan and belonged to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan. A suicide vest, safety fuse wire, and explosives were recovered from the suicide bomber. Senior police officials rushed to the spot as soon as the terrorists were informed, while CTD teams cordoned off the outskirts of Barki and launched a search operation. The terrorists had completed the planning of a major attack on Lahore, but the timely action of the CTD saved the city from major destruction. The CTD registered a case and further investigation was underway.
