Chairman Senate Yousaf Raza Gillani referred the matter to the Privileges Committee for not complying with the production order of Ijaz Chaudhry. Chairman Senate also said that the matter of non-implementation of the production order is referred to the Privileges Committee. Chairman Senate referred the matter to the Privileges Committee and made it clear that the authority could not be challenged. Yousaf Raza Gillani had said that the production order was partially implemented, but the authority was challenged by not implementing the production order. In the ruling, he had said that the production orders of Senator Ejaz Chaudhry were issued, but he was not informed about the arrest of Aoun Abbas and Ejaz Chaudhry.

Earlier, arrested Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Senator Aoun Abbas Bappi was brought to the Senate meeting. He thanked the Chairman Senate for issuing a production order to Aoun Abbas. Arrested PTI senator Aoun Abbas was handed over to the Senate Sergeant at Arms when he reached the Upper House. Aoun Abbas Bappi called on Senate Chairman Yousuf Raza Gillani in his chamber during which Leader of the Opposition Senate Senator Shibli Faraz was also present.
